Background & Challenges

Following an outstanding inspection report and the recent awarding of specialist status in sports and science, Charters School wanted their online presence to reflect these changes and to communicate better with parents, pupils and staff alike. The ability to edit and add to the website quickly and easily was also a crucial requirement. The school has a Sixth Form section to it so it was important that images across the site reflected all age groups at Charters School.

Solutions & Benefits

School Website set about producing a modern-looking design that was rich in pupil-focused imagery to give the audience a real feel for life at Charters School. Visitors to the site first arrive at a 'landing page' where different audiences are clearly separated and quotes from the school’s extremely positive Ofsted report are used to summarise these different areas. The homepage utilises features of the School Website CMS such as the calendar and slideshow tool.
