Background & Challenges

School Website first worked with Elm Road Primary over three years ago. This year has seen us work on both a new website and new prospectus for the school. It was felt the current website was in need of modernising and they wanted to take advantage of our Content Management System.

The prospectus they had was tired and outdated and they wanted it to show the school off in a much better light. Working on the two projects simultaneously meant a common design theme could carry across both website and prospectus.

Solution & Benefits

Having designed and built Elm Road’s previous website, it was a good opportunity for us to modernise it and show off the added functionality offered by our CMS. The graphics for the prospectus were actually completed first, with a fun, handcrafted look created by scanning in ripped cardboard and incorporating it into the design. Once this style was established, work began on replicating it on the website. The result is a fun, visually appealing website that is very easy to navigate with key information displayed clearly on the homepage.

It was Headteacher Graham Lockwood who recently approved the concepts saying, "We think the design is great and it is nice to have the theme running through the website and prospectus. We’re very impressed."
